"An excellent and engaging introduction to the philosophical debate that transcends all others." Eric Holmberg - Founder, The Apologetics Group
Boston college professor Peter Kreeft has said that the existence of God is either a solid fact or the greatest invention in all of history. Hear arguments from both sides of the issue in this lively debate hosted by The University of Wisconsin. Christian philosopher William Lane Craig argues that the existence of God is not just a fact, but a fact of great importance, while atheist philosopher Antony Flew maintains that the existence of God is unknowable and irrelevant. (Note: Sometime since 2001 Mr. Flew modified his beliefs to accept a form of indefinite Aristotelian deism.)
William Lane Craig pursued his undergraduate studies at Wheaton College (B.A. 1971) and graduate studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.A. 1974; M.A. 1975), the University of Birmingham (England) (Ph. D. 1977), and the university of Munich (Germany) (D. Theol. 1984). From 1980 - 86 he taught Philosophy of Religion at Trinity. In 1987, Dr. Craig moved to Brussels, Belgium to pursue research at the University of Louvain. He currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with this family where he continues to pursue his career of writing and speaking.
Antony Flew has taught philosophy or moral philosophy at universities all over the world since 1949. He has been a visiting professor at several schools in the United States, including New York University, the University of Pittsburgh, and the University of Southern California. On of the most well-known atheistic philosophers today, his writings include Hume's Philosophy of Belief, God: A Critical Enquiry, and God, Freedom and Immortality.
